The ladies of Na Leo Lani have a lot of fun every week harmonizing together, learning songs in the barbershop style, and fostering a strong sense of community. We welcome guests and prospective members to weekly rehearsals. If you love to sing, enjoy making friends, and learning new songs, Na Leo Lani may be for you! Our ongoing barbershop-style musical education will supply you with the A-B-C’s of four-part harmony you need for a successful singing experience. Visitors and prospective members are always welcome. Please email our Membership Chair at naleolanichorus [at]gmail.com if you would like to join us.

How to find us
Na Leo Lani rehearses weekly in the social hall annex of the Mō’ili’ili Hongwanji (a Jodo Buddhist Shinshu Temple), 902 University Avenue in Honolulu.
Our rehearsals are on Wednesdays from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. See our Calendar of Events page for the complete rehearsal schedule.
The social hall annex is at the back of the temple complex. The first time you come it might be a little tricky to find the space, so please give us a heads up — ideally several days in advance — at naleolanichorus@gmail.com if you plan to attend. That way we will know to expect you and can help guide you from the parking to our rehearsal room if need be. Or you can just listen and follow the sound of our voices!
See below for photos, parking, and handicap accessibility info. We look forward to meeting you!
Health & safety
If you are feeling under the weather and are experiencing respiratory / cold / flu-like symptoms, please take time to rest and come back to rehearsal when you are feeling better.
Some chorus members prefer to wear masks while singing. We ask members and guests to respect each other’s choices and follow protocols when requested by the director.
Thank you for your understanding. Let’s make our chords ring!
We are a teaching organization and welcome all who identify as women who love to sing and perform.
Bring the spirit of Aloha into your life through music and sing in the land of rainbows!
Parking info:

There are three parking areas for the Hongwanji. Na Leo Lani uses the back parking lot on Kapa’akea Lane. See photo above for the parking lot outlined in GREEN. The front (Main) lot is outlined in blue. The side (overflow) lot (YELLOW) is temporarily closed.
When entering and exiting the back lot on Kapa’akea Lane, please note that the driveway entrance is quite narrow, so you will want to enter and exit the gate with care (particularly after dark).
Mobility / handicap access: The back lot off Kapa’akea Lane offers the shortest distance (about 15-20 feet) to the door of our rehearsal space. It is flat and paved and there are no stairs. The bathroom is handicapped accessible but entering and exiting the door to the restroom may require assistance.
