The ladies of Na Leo Lani have a lot of fun every week harmonizing together, learning songs in the barbershop style, and fostering a strong sense of community. We welcome guests and prospective members to weekly rehearsals. If you love to sing, enjoy making friends, and learning new songs, Na Leo Lani may be for you! Our ongoing barbershop-style musical education will supply you with the A-B-C’s of four-part harmony you need for a successful singing experience. Visitors and prospective members are always welcome. Please email our Membership Chair, Pam Ednie, at naleolanichorus [at]gmail.com if you would like to join us.
How to find us
Na Leo Lani rehearses weekly in the social hall annex of the Mo’ili’ili Hongwanji (a Jodo Buddhist Shinshu Temple), 902 University Avenue in Honolulu.
Our rehearsals are on Wednesdays from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. See our Calendar of Events page for the complete rehearsal schedule.
The social hall annex is at the back of the temple complex. The first time you come it might be a little tricky to find the space (and it requires unlocking a gate for late arrivals after 6:15 p.m.), so please give us a heads up — ideally several days in advance — at naleolanichorus@gmail.com if you plan to attend. That way we will know to meet you in the parking lot and guide you to our rehearsal room. Or just listen for our singing and laughter!
See below for photos and parking information. We look forward to meeting you!
Covid safety protocols
In keeping with Hawai’i state public health guidelines, we strongly recommend that all attendees of our in-person rehearsals be fully vaccinated and boosted against Covid-19. While vaccination is not currently required, it is highly encouraged in the interest of keeping you and your loved ones safe.
Masking is optional but is encouraged in indoor spaces. We ask chorus members and guests to be respectful of every individual’s choice to wear a mask and, when requested, to abide by the director’s request to mask up for the protection of others. KN-95, N-95, or chorus-issued singer’s masks are preferred.
If you are experiencing Covid-related or other respiratory / cold / flu-like symptoms, please refrain from attending rehearsal until you are feeling better.
Thank you for your understanding as we endeavor to ensure that all of our members, young and old, can sing together in good health. Let’s make our chords ring!
We are a teaching organization and welcome all who identify as women who love to sing and perform.
Bring the spirit of Aloha into your life through music and sing in the land of rainbows!

Last but not least, there is also a parking lot at the very back of the building, along the tiny back alley known as Kapaakea Lane. Below is a map to help you find it. Please note that the entry to the back lot is quite narrow, so if you choose to park there, enter and exit with care.
