The ladies of Na Leo Lani have a lot of fun every week harmonizing together, learning songs in the barbershop style, and fostering a strong sense of community. We welcome guests and prospective members to weekly rehearsals. If you love to sing, enjoy making friends, and learning new songs, Na Leo Lani may be for you! Our ongoing barbershop-style musical education will supply you with the A-B-C’s of four-part harmony you need for a successful singing experience. Visitors and prospective members are always welcome. How to find us (updated room!)

Na Leo Lani rehearses weekly in the annex of the Mō’ili’ili Hongwanji Temple (a Jodo Buddhist Shinshu temple) at 902 University Avenue in Honolulu.

NEW TEMPORARY REHEARSAL ROOM Starting Oct 18, 2026 (and for the next several months), we will be meeting in the sanctuary room upstairs on the 2nd Floor. You need to access it from the elevator located on the right side of the temple as you look at it from the street. Our rehearsals are on Wednesdays from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.

Note Every second Wednesday of each month, we will be meeting at Harris United Methodist Church from 6:00 to 8:30 pm at 20 S. Vineyard BLVD

Please give us a heads up — ideally several days in advance — at naleolanichorus@gmail.com if you plan to attend. That way we will know to expect you and can help guide you from the parking to our rehearsal room if need be. Or you can just listen and follow the sound of our voices!

Health & Safety

If you are feeling under the weather and are experiencing respiratory / cold / flu-like symptoms, please take time to rest and come back to rehearsal when you are feeling better.

Some chorus members prefer to wear masks while singing. We ask members and guests to respect each other’s choices and follow protocols when requested by the director.

Parking Info:

NEW TEMPORARY PARKING Starting Oct 18, 2026 (and for the next several months), we will be parking here at the front of the temple. The lot is small, so please pull all the way inside and double park. If there are no other spaces, please find a spot on the street. See BLUE rectangle in photo below.

There are three parking areas for the Hongwanji. Na Leo Lani is currently using the FRONT parking lot on University Ave. See photo above for the parking lot outlined in BLUE. Entrance for this lot is on University Ave. The side and back lots (YELLOW and GREEN) are not open for NLL parking at this time.

Mobility / Handicap access: The bathroom is handicapped accessible but entering and exiting the door to the restroom may require assistance.
