What a party!

What an extraordinary day we had this past Saturday, August 23 celebrating Na Leo Lani’s Golden Anniversary. Fifty years — WOW!!!!!

Thank you to all who attended, and mahalo nui loa to Harris United Methodist Church for hosting us! A million thanks as well to the dozens of volunteers whose hard work helped us pull off this once-in-a-lifetime event. We could not have done it without you.

More thank yous to the individuals who so generously gave of their time will follow soon, along with photos from the event.

This August, Na Leo Lani is marking a half-century of creating sisterhood through song on the island of O‘ahu. Join us for an afternoon of laughter, lyricism, and lunch as we celebrate our golden anniversary of a cappella harmony in the barbershop style!

A fun night was had by all who attended our 48th anniversary party on August 26. We made mounds of salad and chowed down on soup and bread, reminisced about when we each became members (Wow! What stories!), and of course sang a few tunes to cap off the evening.

Thanks again to Deb for hosting the party at her condo, and to the rest of our board members for setting up and decorating.

Forty-five years of Na Leo Lani

In August 2020, Na Leo Lani celebrated its 45th anniversary with a virtual birthday bash attended by friends from around the world. Our president, Dana Taylor, put together a slideshow of photos and memorabilia from our first four and a half decades. Our vice-president, Pam Ednie, emceed a live fashion parade of some of the many elegant costumes we have performed in over the years.
