Join us for our Friends and Family concert!

Saturday April 6, 2 p.m.

Harris United Methodist Church, 20 South Vineyard Blvd, Honolulu

Please join us for a special concert celebrating life in our islands, featuring Na Leo Lani and friends!

We have been working hard all spring and can’t wait to share our contest songs (and more!) as we prepare for our Region 12 contest performance in Reno in mid-April.

Admission free. Donations gladly accepted and will support our contest expenses.

Our SAVERS Fund Drive is coming up!

Clean out your closet and help Na Leo Lani raise money at the same time for our upcoming competition in Reno, Nevada! Donate your new or used household goods and clothing to our MARCH 2024 Savers “FUNdraiser” and Savers will pay us by the pound for whatever we donate!

All our donations have to be delivered to Savers in one fell swoop on March 9th at 11:00 am, so please bring your donations to our Wednesday night rehearsals between now and March 6, or contact Anna at naleolanichorus [at] gmail.com to drop them off before hand.

If you are not a chorus member and but have items you would like to donate, please pass the goods along to your favorite Na Leo Lani member or contact Anna at naleolanichorus[at]gmail.com. You are welcome to drop off your donation items and sit in on our rehearsal after — prospective members are always welcome! Visit our “Join Us” page for our rehearsal location info and more.

Donations of clothing should be in large plastic bags, tied shut. Hard items such as dishes, knicknacks, small electric appliances (e.g., toasters, etc), and kitchenware should be boxed tied or taped shut. If you are donating larger items like small bookcases or dressers, please tie or tape the drawers and shelves so they won’t fall out.

Time to Sing in the New Year!

Put away those sparkly lights, holiday hats and festive decorations — it’s back to rehearsal this week and time to SING IN THE NEW YEAR! Whether you are a member coming back after our two-week break, a prospective member, or a singing sister just passing through town, please see our Calendar of Events for our January rehearsal times and dates.

In the meantime, here’s a toast to our December birthday gals — Hauʻoli Lā Hānau! – we love you lots!

Hip hip hooray for our December birthday celebrants, including Yvonne in absentia!

Our holiday concert is this Saturday, Dec. 9!

Na Leo Lani Summer Program 2023!

Summer days are here again! Keep cool with six weeks of singing with Na Leo Lani.

Well, come give our easy breezy six-week Summer Program a try! We will be learning two barbershop takes on contemporary tunes over six weekly rehearsals, May 31 – July 5, culminating in a performance (and open mic opportunity!) for friends and family on Saturday, July 8.

Come join us!

When? Weekly on Wednesday evenings 6-8 p.m., May 31 – July 5

Where? We rehearse in the Mo’ili’ili Hongwanji Social Hall Annex, 902 University Avenue, Honolulu

For driving and parking directions, see: https://naleolani.org/join-us/

How much? $25 (includes sheet music, learning tracks, and vocal instruction with the chorus). If you decide you would like to audition and join Na Leo Lani at the end of the program, your Summer Program fee will go toward your first month of NLL chorus dues.

How to sign up? Email naleolanichorus@gmail.com and let us know you are interested!

Welcome new members!

Spring has sprung, and with it, we achieved a fabulous new milestone in March — three new members, all of them Leads, in a single month! Congratulations and welcome to Suzanne, Karlyn and April — we are so excited to have you join us. We look forward to a long and mutually rewarding celebration of song together.

Rehearsal cancelled tonight due to wild, gusty weather

Hang onto your hats, ladies! Na Leo Lani’s rehearsal tonight, March 1, 2023 is cancelled due to unexpectedly challenging winter weather. With traffic lights out in various parts of the island, light posts and trees down in some neighborhoods, and winds gusting at 30 miles per hour, our Director, Chris, and the NLL Board agreed that we should put safety first.

Stay home and dry tonight, and we will see you next week instead.

NEW!: starting next week, our rehearsals will be every week on WEDNESDAYS — no more “second Wednesday on a Thursday” confusion! So we look forward to seeing everyone next week WEDNESDAY, March 8, at 6:00 p.m. at our usual rehearsal location at the Mo’ili’ili Hongwanji, 902 University Avenue, Honolulu.

It’s wild and windy out! Rehearsal tonight is cancelled to keep everyone safe. See you next week!
